First Bedford is a Christ-Centered Church located in the heart of DFW. We are all about Jesus Christ, His Gospel, His people, and His Kingdom first and always. We believe Christ is the Head of the Church and that the Bible is divinely inspired, without any error in the original writings, and is a record of God’s revelation of Himself to humankind. We believe in the virgin birth of Christ, His sacrificial death, and resurrection to pay the price for our sins. We believe in the priesthood of every believer and salvation comes through Jesus Christ alone.
We believe the Bible affirms the value and worth of every person, offering hope for all in Christ. Forgiveness, restoration, and transformation are available to every person who confesses their sin and proclaims Jesus as Lord of their lives. This means we can all start anew and find peace and joy in this special relationship with Jesus. We seek to minister to all people and believe all Christ followers are called to share God’s love with others.
We are affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas, Tarrant Baptist Association, Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, and other organizations that promote the goals and mission statement of the Church. We have a passion for reaching all people in a lost world and support many mission efforts around the world, in the U.S., and close to home.
